How to verify your identity

When creating your profile on Army of Nannies, you’ll have the option of verifying your identity. And this builds trust with potential employers. It also gives you an ID Verified tick on your profile.

You can do this by uploading a photo of a government-issued ID document (such as a passport or driving license). And then taking a security selfie from your phone.

Behind the scenes with Yoti

This information gets sent to our highly protected security centre. We use a combination of leading technology and manual checks to make sure the ID document is genuine and the photo matches the holder – this is why the selfie is important.

It helps us make sure we’ve captured a photo of a real person and not an automated bot, mask or photo. We use advanced anti-spoofing technology to help us achieve this.

In just a few minutes, nannies can complete their identity verification and have their check results sent back to Army of Nannies. They then issue the profile with a verified tick. It’s as simple as that!
